ABOUT

I am in my mid-30s and have been playing drums since I was 8. I was THAT kid who had my mom's pots, pans, and anything else that made a noise when struck laid out on the floor and "jammin" to my heart's content. The best baby sitter my parent's ever had for me was my drum(s). I have been blessed with being able to share stages and practice spaces with some of the most talented people over the years. My preference is hard rock/metal but my early influences, of all things, was "old skool" rap. Back when it was just beats and rhymes, no samplings, I would mimic the beats onto any surfaces that sounded like a snare and kick. As I grew, so did my tastes and abilities. High school brought on the marching and jazz bands. Marching taught me to "be" the metronome, jazz taught me to "hear" the music and improv. As any teeager, I got into the music that annoyed my parents and for me that was hard rock/80's hair bands. Once I heard double kick drumming there was no looking back. It's always been a release or outlet for me. I've always said I'm NOT the best at it, but it's what I'm best at. I've had the priveledge to be a part of projects to open for national recording bands such as the legendary Misfits and Marcy Playground. There's nothing like music to bring people together and help others "release" if only for a set or two. I can't imagine what the world would be like without music. But I'm sure glad we have it!!
