I am first and foremost a vocalist, but I do play guitar, bass, harmonica and even dabble in keys. I have been playing in bands (off and on) For nearly forty years. I started out as a singer then I picked up bass and later guitar. During the 80's I was a bassist/vocalist in several Sacramento bands doing classic rock covers. I also did a stint in Seattle with a band called Joint Venture. In the 90's I did some studio vocals and played bass in an all original band called Asterisk. More recently I was lead vocalist and guitarist for three years in a classic rock cover band known as Dog Park Justice. I moved to Newark Ohio in 2014 where I had been playing guitar keys and harmonica as well as providing lead and harmony vocals in The Striped Pony Band. I've played a several gigs with the band "Ragged Doll", and sit in with them ocaisionally, but I just don't find them a good fit for me personally.

I like playing classic rock covers, but I do also write and record my own music, occaisionally doing the coffee house thing with just myself and my acoustic. My influences include The Eagles, Tom Petty and CCR, but I am pretty open minded about venturing into other musical territories. Most of the bands I have been in focused on paid gigging, but having said that, I am not in it for the money. I play for the sheer joy of rocking out a crowd.
