ABOUT

Looking lead/rhythm guitar opening. A little rock, southern rock, classic rock, hard rock, alternative/grunge, metal, country and funk. I like playing it all.

Since I started playing back in '95, mostly self-taught (and VHS lessons if you remember those). Then, about three or four years ago, I was inspired by some musicians I met on vacation to start taking lessons. Had a bunch of "aha" moments with those lessons and I finally forced myself to go to a jam night at a local bar. Hit it off with the band, and they let me play with them every week for four hours. Any way, the bar shut down the jam night and I've been without a live outlet for about 8 months. Would really like to start playing with a group again. Currently in a classic rock band, mostly 60s/70s with a touch of newer stuff.

Influences

Started playing guitar because of Metallica back in '95
Grunge era - Alice in Chains, Soundgarden, STP...
Guns 'N Roses was the reason I bought my Les Paul

Since then the influences have grown. The typical players ... Hendrix, Gilmour, Rev. Billy G (I love me some pinch squeals).

Chicken pickers are bad-asses.
