ABOUT
I met a lot of music artists back in 1969/70 in my home town, Nashville, TN. Lived with Corky Tittle (drummer for Jim Ed Brown) & his (then) wife Grace in Old Hickory, TN and at Huntington Park Manor Apts in Nashville Bob Woods, (bass player) also lived in the apt complex at that time). Went to many jam sessions, recording studios, and Jim Ed Brown's home studio. Was at the taping of the Jim Ed Brown TV show a few times. Hung out with one of the Stoneman family members a bit. I was just a lost young teen without any direction and volunteered for the Marine Corps in Sept of 1970, then lost contact with everyone I knew in Nashville. I am also pictured on the cover of the Ray Stevens album "I Have Returned" (the one on the right holding the rifle) which released in 1985. I was stationed at the Navy Seabee base in Gulfport, MS when Ray's manager requested the use of our Amtrack and a few of our Marines (and our Navy Corpsman who is in the Amtrack). I still have an autographed copy of the album. I retired from the Marine Corps with over 20 years of service. One of my experiences after my retirement was owning a music store for over six years until the economy and internet sales competition finally beat me up and I closed it down. Peace to everyone & I hope all is going well for all you musicians and friends out there.
