SEEKING
Band to Join, Vocalist, Drums, Other Percussion, Keyboard, Other, DJ, Electronic Music.ABOUT
WHAT I'M LOOKING FOR:
Rock, post-rock, indie Maybe an electronica/EDM combo for someone just getting going (I'm a bit of a novice in this area). More important than genre is the right mix of personalities. Have been sober 10 years and won't do anything to jeapordize that. Looking for musicians who are easy-going, open, honest, good people on and off stage, and focused on the music and not the "lifestyle."
- As a lead guitarist, I don't shred or wank - I shoot for tasty, concise, creative solos.
- As a rhythm guitarist, I aim to glue the song together harmonically and rhythmically.
- As a bassist, my goal is to stay in the pocket playing the notes as well as the spaces between the notes. (I will play bass in a pinch on a few songs but very much prefer to play guitar.)
- Genres: Most recently I was in an eight-piece band (3 horns) that played a mix of rock, pop, R&B with a little ska and punk tossed in (A Band Called Truman from Duluth, MN).
I've also played some jazz gigs on the side (mostly as a bass player).
