I am a bass player with backup/lead vocal skills who has been performing in musical groups for the past 30 years since I was 13. I am very chill, no ego, and don't drink (nor take drugs). I am professional and could step in to play gigs and learn sets quickly. My main experience has been playing classic rock, 50's, 60s, and 70s in various bands in Chicago for over ten years. I also played in an 80s cover band in South Carolina for two years as well as a Beatles tribute band.
A little on my other experience: from 2006 to 2010, I auditioned and was accepted as a bass player for the army band where I played throughout the southeastern US as well as a year flying around Iraq playing rock and country gigs. While in Iraq, my repertoire grew as I played all styles of music in various bands (salsa, Latin jazz, jazz, r&b band, country, and rock). So, I'm very versatile in my skills on bass. Because the gigs I played were constantly rotating, I had to learn a new show every three weeks, which forced me to be able to learn a set of music quickly.
I was in a Beatles tribute band in South Carolina (“The Daytrippers”) where I of course played Paul McCartney. We wore the Ed Sullivan suits, wigs, talked in British accents and had a great time. Additionally, I have fronted a number of bands vocally and can sing harmony as well. If that is an asset to you, you can use my bass and vocal skills however needed.
