A Crash Republic was started by Nick Tello and Andrew Sullivan in 2008 when still in middle school. A few hardcore and pop punk band variations later as well as countless songs ranging from mediocre, to cringe inducing, to the ones that are actually being released on the debut EP, it was decided to keep the name A Crash Republic because the musical sound and style has grown and evolved in such a way that they are proud to continue to be known as and release music under ACR. Their style has been described by many as similar to the Dropkick Murphys (which is ironic, they are from the same town as them), and Say Anything after which a lot of vocal style and lyrical inspiration is drawn. "The stories we tell transcend glory and hell through perspectives explicitly just."
