ABOUT

Besides Eventually Seeking a Smooth Jazz Group in hopes that I can play the small handful of tunes that I try to do, I'm a Mediocre Rookie Hobby Wanna-be, Basement SMOOTH JAZZ ALTO- TENOR-SAX Player, with limited Skills (Don't we all have limitations?). I am Seeking a Mediocre Trumpet/Flugelhorn Player for a Trumpet/Sax Duo thing, doing Duo Tunes like "Grazing In The Grass", "Q It Up", "Loves Like That" by Rick Braun, Boney James or Richard Elliot and others. Also couple/few Solo tunes would be nice.
I've got some professional quality Backing Tracks - or ...
We would like be open to possibly eventually joining a SMOOTH JAZZ Group.

Ideally, I would like to find a Mediocre Trumpet/Flugelhorn player with a strong desire like myself Lol, Similar in age and might live close by (I'm in the Crystal/New Hope Area) that would like to "Pipe It Up" trying to do this Fun Stuff. I've got some Pretty Good Professional Quality Backing Tracks that in my opinion are "Not" your typical boring Sh*t. Eventually I'd like to put together anywhere from a 30, 60 or 90 minute (or more) show doing Private Parties or Events doing Duo tunes and Solo tunes.
Can't help but to think if we get-it-together, it shouldn't be hard to find a group to back our performance when needed.

Nice if this could become "Our Project" playing with the Passion that one can't help but to see we enjoy doing very much. Maybe I'm dreaming but it sure would be nice, and this is something I've been working on trying to Indulge into for years and definitely now that I've Retired from day job - drop me a line. But in the mean time I'm going to try to work on getting it together (still currently in Rookie Mediocre stage I won't deny it). Though myself and a Trumpeter had gotten together for a brief month practicing to do a small outdoor "End of Summer Party" few years back for a few tunes. We sucked, Peeps enjoyed it and we had a blast, and the Host Complimented "you actually put on a show" a couple of times which started to give me a Big Head Lol, and look forward to doing more of these small and hopefully bigger performances. The Trumpet guy moved to California. It would be really be Nice to find someone to Team Up that would enjoy getting into this stuff. Rookie or Not, Let's Do This !!!

Pretty Sad on my part that "this seems to be all I think about" when I have time to think, Lol.
(and Yes, I do get excited about it).

Thanks, AL.
Since I need to clarify - I've done many years, many gigs doing Harpin' for Tribute - Blues Brotherin' stuff. (Yep, I was Elwood). But, I have hardly done a handfull of the Saxin' stuff. But my Goal is to Enjoy doing these tunes together and getting this Duo/Solo Team/Performance off the ground.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
