Currently in a classsic rock/jam band that has too many members-especially on guitar as we have 4 guitar players (although one guitarist plays keyboards on about 5 songs). This makes unacceptable volume levels, challenges regarding song arrangements, communication during songs, and three of the four guitarists want to play lead. I am primarily a rythm guitar player/background vocalist that would be happy with either being the second lead guitarist or the lead guitar on about 35-40% of the set list. I also play bass and plan to learn keyboards. I am willing to diversify the instruments I play to help my bandmates, but most of the current band does not want to be serious and while I enjoy having fun, I would also like to perform at small restaurants and pubs on an occassional basis. On the rare occassions that we had only 2 or 3 guitarists show up it sounded so much better!
