Allen Wadlo Williams is a longtime songwriter and musician who recently retired as a print journalist. He is 60 years old. Influences
It's eclectic, no apologies there. Here's the way my set lists have been shaping up. Take my word for it when I say "original" in the list. Each is very cool and radio/Internet listenable. Songs I can play live right now: My Nipples Hurt (original, with overdriven guitar); Tumblin' Dice (Stones); Bad Velvet Elvis (original); Snake Farm (Ray Wylie Hubbard); Just Want to be With You (Chris Rea); Dirty Old Town (The Pogues); Who Do You Love (Bo Diddley); Pancho & Lefty (Townes Van Zandt); Tell Me the Truth (original). (There's a bunch more, mostly originals, but all hot and easy to play.)
Members Of Band
Right now, I'm manning the fort until I can scrounge up a good drummer. I've been working with excellent bassplayer Kevin Mauch of The Brazen Heads on a duo project. But I'm looking for somebody to play bass who's not already in a major project. I also occasionally get together with Pat Flannery, slide guitar player for Southwest by Midnight. He's looking at my band as a side project. So, if somebody showed up wanting to play all the time, I could use a good lead player, too. Come on, let's make some music. If you sing, that's all the better.
EQUIPMENT
I play a PRS Santana edition, using a Pro Tools compatible Eleven Rack to power through my Fender Deluxe. I have a small JBL PA system. If needs be, I play sax (alto and tenor), harmonica and keyboards. I can sing lead and backup.
