all girl indie-band "suffer the boys" is looking for inspired singers who aren't afraid of clever songwriting, eclectic arrangements, genre bending, or making great music. we have spent the last year focusing on perfecting our songwriting and sound, and are now ready to find a vocalist/lyricist who has a serious passion for making music that works on many levels, yet has its own distinct sound, and is not cookie-cutter pop music yet with very strong radio sensibilities.

Influences:

our sound is a mix of indie/classical/folk/electronica/ambient and alternative, and our influences are diverse and varied, allowing us to stand out from the standard indie fare. We studied and love bands like the flaming lips, goldfrapp, bjork, radiohead, smashing pumpkins, animal collective, passion pit, R.E.M., moby, mgmt, frou frou, dido, jewel, fleet foxes, the lab animals, home video, bats for lashes, emmy the great, fights with apes, the beatles , and the cranberries, among many others.
