Having arrived in San Diego just prior to the pandemic, I've decided to stay permanently in San Diego (after 2 decades of a lot of moving around -- s://./say2joe). I'm here looking for people to not only jam with but also hopefully find a few friends a long the way. Professionally, I've been a software engineer for over 20 years and am trying to start an IT company currently. But, I'm very interested in combining my years of playing different styles of guitar into something more. Ideally, I prefer blues-rock or classic rock to anything else. However, I've studied and performed classical guitar and played guitar in high school jazz band (my 3rd year playing guitar).

Influences
Growing pains: Dave Matthews Band, Classical, some blues & rock.
Mid-Music crisis: Much more classic rock, much more blues, Stevie Ray Vaughn, and a bit of jazz.
Currently improvising: Play most songs by ear and play improv lead guitar as an additional accompaniment (not voice-over/copy note-for-note). Getting a little more into jazz now.
* If playing a cover, I would, of course, try to reproduce the original song to the best of my ability and comfort for the context with which it should be appreciated. For example, I don't try to reproduce Freebird or Hotel California lead guitar parts note-for-note but would attempt to do so if playing a gig.
