ABOUT

Active musician/keyboardist (blues/rock/country piano, hammond-style organ and blues/country harp) looking to jam with other like-minded players, either just for fun or for the occasional outside gig. Mostly interested in blues, blues-based folk or garage-punk blues, preferably originals. I'm not that interested in doing tired old pop-rock covers (If I never hear "Brown-Eyed Girl" again I'll die a happy man!) and would rather create our own sound based on our arrangements of cover tunes. For example, I'd rather do:

-- Chris Stapleton than Elton John, Billy Joel or (God forbid) Neil Diamond
-- John Lee Hooker or Robert Johnson than .38 Special
-- "Gloria" than "Into the Mystic"
-- Anything by the Compulsive Gamblers than anything by the Beatles (I love the Fab Four but it's been done to death)

You get the idea. I am semi-retired and flexible. You can check out my work on Spotify/ITunes/Youtube, etc.:

-- Formerly with all-originals jam band Prometheus Clay (album: "Evil Dreams");
-- Currently with Chester County classic rock cover bands The Mystic Rituals and The Third Floor;
-- Occasionally sit in with local cover bands Crooked Rose and Shev and Friends;
-- Solo albums: "A Mean and Dreadful Sorrow" (released Feb. 2022) and "Coahoma" (Nov. 2022)

Attached tunes are original singles from my albums (all © 2022 Mark Augustine)
