ABOUT

I have at least two albums I would like to record. I am a songwriter as my forte. In the last 7 years have written at least 75 songs. I have three previous albums with the Vallejo brothers- I was like the fourth brother. My focus is to record these two albums. I have even thought of recording with as many musicians as possible due to the fact my music ranges though all types and even the noval. I have been trained in jazz at the auburn university. My music is not your typical toe tapper, but I am a live musician. It must be luck, but never had a bad show- they all seemed like a blink of the eye. There are a wide range of dimension in intensity and dynamics. In a way, it is sort of like Frank Zappa- only in the sense of having little restraint, playing so many kinds of music and I do use a variety of time signatures. I write most of the songs, but not your part. It will be the greatest freedom a musician can get playing another’s music. I don’t want to hear you playing what you think I want to hear- rather I want to hear you playing what you think it should be in collaboration. I split the song half of the rights equally. I write the lyrics. I have been a lead singer with 10 voices- but am thinking about getting a co lead singer who is based in black gospel. I am looking for a new sound. You must keep an open mind to allow yourself to go for it and reach for a bit more. I always told people that my music might not be your cup of tea- but you will not be bored. I always get stage fright, yet I am certain we will burn the house down. Humor is also a component.

EQUIPMENT

Me, guitar, keyboard, coronet, intensity and a sense of inclusion. I do have a giant shed in the back yard to practice in. It is just off slaughter/ Manchaca- behind all the clubs. Sometimes I use all different kind of things as instruments- like a ratchet on the third album. My albums are like chapters of a book- each sort of a concept album- so I do have a catalog of 45 songs already recorded. There have been songs on each album fighting for the earth. I am a super freak and if we do shows, they will be high intensity freak shows. When they say keep Austin weird- in small writing it excludes me as I have surpassed the legal limit. I guarantee fun
