ABOUT

I am a well seasoned bassist, having played styles such as Alt Rock, Americana, Country, R&B, Jazz and Soul. I lived and played music for a decade in New York city on stages such as The Bitter End, Kenny's Castaways, Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, BB Kings, Bowery Electric, etc. I've performed studio work as well as stage work and 99% of what I do is originals, including writing bass lines that support the song with a deep pocket whilst adding a melodious aspect to keep it interesting. I am a professional that understands the business. I hope to find other musicians with a level of virtuosity and experience performing in front of audiences. As corny as it sounds, appearance is just as important as well as a strong stage presence. Image is a big factor in selling tickets. As an example of my bass writing ability, notice the video links - on Mine & Yours, I disguised a song that modulated between two chords and moved the bass line around to add melody and depth, to make the tune more catchy and unique. During the guitar solo, I took it to a higher level to further differentiate that section.

The second vid is a 1 / 5 Country tune where I add some melody to certain sections to add flavor, but mainly maintain a rock solid 1 / 5 feel to keep the song moving along. Note that I wrote and sang background harmonies.

Sometimes less is more, other times adding flavor hits the spot. I hope you enjoy!
