I listen to a lot of stuff, I don’t give two sh*ts about genres. I like something when I like it, can’t be helped.
I'm metal at heart but don’t really play it much. I love mixing up genres and would Jam with accordion, violin, djembe, anything with a capable player.
I write songs start to finish doing all instruments, lyrics sometimes, and prefer doing originals unless we are really gonna work a cover song over or get paid lots for doing it.
I've done a lot of studio work as well as gigged 100's of shows/events/concerts in different successful bands in the ole anchor town.
My bands have won the battle for warped tour twice yet still I am a humble soul. Some may say otherwise but i've listed zero instruments as being an expert. I know I'm no slouch but to.call oneself an expert you better be damn amazing imo.
Although I do love to jam, I prefer those jams to lead into a cool riff, then to work things out and get it done. I enjoy jamming just for jamming sake when it happens, but if puttng any effort in I want to create.
