ABOUT

I have played professionally for many years both in the Dallas/Fort Worth and Chicago areas. I was out of music for a long while and then started seriously practicing again about 12 years ago, using the various Jazz study tools that I was taught while attending North Texas State University. I will retire from N.I.U IT department at the end of May. My goal now is not to play professionally again. My interest is in playing with musicians who are practicing on their own and who want to play music with the feeling of "art for arts sake". The type of gig I would be interested in really hardly exists at all and that would be playing on a tuned piano in front of people who come to actually listen to musicians playing a "non-obtrusive" form of Jazz.
