I've been playing bass for about three years. My past experience has been filling in as a bass player for random cover bands...no permanent gigs. I'd like to belong to a girl band with similar likes and ages, (I'm 48) but open to playing with the guys, as well. Not interested in ego! I want to have fun above all else and could commit to practice a day or two a week and a gig on the weekends, so would like to be in a band that is serious about getting out of the garage. Don't have to be famous, just relevant. I have moderate experience. Currently my library of songs that are stage ready is about 30. I'm into rock, grunge, alternative, Celtic. I don't do slap, or solo...happy to be backbone...can sing backup. To be transparent, I am new to the ins and outs so my mates would have to possess a bit more experience than me so I am willing to be influenced. I read tabs, not sheet music, so I transcribe what I need to.
