I first started playing bass at 9 years old, but I've always played on and off without ever really dedicating myself to perfecting the craft. I've played a couple of gigs here and there in college and throughout my teens, and I really enjoy playing music casually. I've always been able to play my part and hold my own, but I've recently started studying some music theory pretty seriously and I'm committed to improving as a musician. I figure, what's the point of improving if I don't use my skills in an authentic context? I'm looking for people to jam with, whether it's cover songs or originals. Through this process, I want to develop my identity and voice as a musician while helping others do the same. Casual jamming works best for me since I'm also in a full time teaching credential program at the moment, but I'm up for some gigging as well if the opportunity presents itself. I really just want to get involved in playing music and having a good time.
