ABOUT

Just purchased a home in Montross & will be moving there within a years time. Looking for musicians to connect with ahead of time & looking for a working situation(s) around Fredericksburg, the Northern Neck , & Southern Md. once I relocate there. Have been a professional musician in N.Y. for over 40 yrs & have lots of experience, & still actively working here. All my work for the past 10 yrs. (& counting) has been in the famous/infamous Hamptons. For the past 7 yrs I've been working in a 9 piece"NAWLINS" band called The Hoodoo Loungers, & I'm also playing in a band w/Rick Davies & Mike Reilley (from Supertramp & Pure Prairie League respectively) & G.E.Smith called Ricky & the Rockets, as well as subbing w/bands in the Hamptons. Prior to all of this I was in the wedding/corporate field for 25yrs & before that I was on the road in the late '70s till 1983. My forte is Funk ( I was a student of David Garibaldi ), but can play in many styles/genres. I also play congas & percussion, so I can fit into "unplugged" type gigs where a drum kit would be too much. I have an excellent work ethic. I come to rehearsals prepared & get to gigs on time, set up & ready to play, & are drug & alcohol free. Looking for pros that "take it seriously" & need to gig.

Drummers; David Garibaldi, Mike Clark, Steve Gadd, Tony Williams. Bands; Tower of Power, Santana ('69-'74), Sly, Headhunters, Galactic, Meters, any horn band from the Oakland/San-Fran area in the '70s (Cold Blood, Graham Central Sta,) & any "NAWLINS" Funk.

EQUIPMENT

I play all vintage Ludwig drums. A 1969 Ludwig mahogany lacquer 5 piece, a '69 blond maple 5 piece & a '68 Mod Orange 4 piece. Same goes for my cymbals...all vintage 50's & 60's Zildjians, including one acquired from Dino Danelli from his Rascals days. Percussion: LP congas, assorted shakers, tambourines,& other "toys".
