I am a seasoned drummer skilled in the blues but versatile in other styles. Playing the deep pocket is my specialtly. Less is more but when I play more, it is always in sync, blending with the groove. Listening is a big part of being a great rhythm section player. My informative years as a drummer were spent in Florida. I grew up on the Gulf coast where music was heavily influenced by Blues, Southern Rock, Country, Reggie, and Afro-Cuban sounds. (I lived Just 200 miles from Havana and picked up Cuban radio stations from there and Miami). I relocated to Los Angeles in the 80's to join Bobby Cochran's band at the time. I also jammed a variety of players, from Johnny Shines to Ranking Roger of the English Beat and other accomplished musicians.

Musical band influences include Muddy Waters, Allman Brothers, Jackson Brown, The Grateful Dead, Little Feat, Led Zeppelin, Phish, Santana, Peter Gabriel, Gomez, Elvis Costello, The English Beat, Bob Marley, Tito Puente and many more to mention here. Some of my favorite drummers: Butch Trucks & Jai Johanny Johanson, Michael Shrieve, Richie" Hayward, John Bonham, Keith Moon and Russell Kunkel.
