ABOUT

I'm a longtime drummer with over 35 years of experience. If you're seeking a good drummer with excellent groove and a solid pocket, then I'm your man. I'm not a drunk and I don't do drugs. Strictly professional.

You can listen to my playing and singing on two clips and two full full songs which I have uploaded.

Ridin' Shotgun - Workin' Man Blues - This is a live recording of a country band I played with for about three years. The room was very lively, with a large concrete dance floor. But I still think the recording came out ok.

The Limit - Best Of My Love - This is a live recording of an Eagles tribute band I played with for many years. The audio was taken from a cell phone video, hence the so-so sound quality. However, you can hear me singing harmony as well as playing on this one.

Ridin' Shotgun - Mirror Mirror - This is a full song by the above mentioned band recorded in my home studio...a cover of the Diamond Rio classic. I am singing lead as well as playing drums on this one.

Groove Culture - The World Is A Ghetto - This is another full song by a jazz flavored R&B band I played in a few years back. This is our smooth jazz-ish take on the old R&B classic from the band 'War'.

Influences

Bandmix only allows me to list four musical genres. But I really DO play almost everything. Hard rock, classic rock, blues rock, blues, country, folk rock, R&B, funk, jazz, smooth jazz, you name it. I can play (and have played) almost any style. I'm just looking for the right musical fit. Oh and I also sing. Tenor and baritone range. Lead or backing vocals.

EQUIPMENT

Acoustic Drums - Too Many Drum Sets :-)

Cymbals - A mix of Zildjian, Sabian and Meinl

E-Drums - Got a Roland e-drum kit and all the accessories. Fine for some recording and incidental percussion but it doesn't cut it live. I sometimes use it for triggering from my acoustic drums.
