ABOUT

I'm a bassist looking to bring together musicians for the purpose of being creative, developing original content, and eventually playing out. This should be a project devoid of excessive ego tripping. We will talk, play and utilize our varying styles of expression to create original music that will not only satisfy our individual creative wants, but the audiences' as well.

I've been playing music for 15 years. My background is in jazz, funk, rock, hip-hop and the multitude of styles which fall under these categories.

As of the past few years I've become increasingly interested in the synthesis of electronic and analog, which is to say, traditional instrumentation mixed with MIDI effects, vocal triggers, and an increasingly large attention on the "SOUNDSCAPE." I'm thinking Gorillaz' Plastic Beaches, Little Dragon's Ritual Union, and or Phantogram's Eyelid Movies.

Ideal members: PERCUSSION : (this could be traditional set or preferably someone with an Alesis/Roland/Akai Performance pad that can trigger samples) or the combination of sample pad and percussion instrument.

MIDI Extraordinaire - You know who you are. You got some great ideas, samples and presence of mind when considering composition.

Guitar/Keys/Synth : this could be interchangeable with MIDI function

I'm 27 years old and as with you, continue to get older. I want to make this a project to which I can devote all my energy to and develop into something greater than myself.
