Hi! I'm Emma, I'm 20 years old. I have been singing in choirs and such since elementary school. At age 13, I got involved with classical music. I trained in opera for about 5 years. Although my background is classical, I love singing most all genres. Acoustic, pop, jazz, whatever.
I have lots of experience with a capella choirs, and love to harmonize. I can read music, and plunk out some stuff on the piano. I love to write as well, so songwriting is definitely a possibility.
I don't really have any type of band I'd like to join in mind. I'm fine with anything from just jamming with cool people to committing to gigs. Really, I just want to get back into music and singing.
When I was into opera, i was a soprano. I have a decent range, though, and can sing alto parts as well. To those familiar with opera, I was considered a coloratura soprano. That basically means I have a high extension and my voice is agile enough for trills, runs, leaps, etc.
I have been involved with spoken word poetry, and like to pretend I can rap. So if anyone wants to collaborate and use that, I'm totally open to it.
