ABOUT

Hello! EVVE or ELSEVVHERE was a project I (Jake) ran from 2018-2021. I was the lead songwriter, and I have been looking to revive the project after moving down here in some form, as we never were able to play live, and I still have so much material written. I’ve found a very competent bass player, and we’re looking to add drums, second guitar or keys, vocals, and brass. We mix grunge, emo, dream pop, post-rock, black metal, and jazz, with a lot of Japanese influence, wrapped in Y2K aesthetics.

Looking for people with song writing abilities, with a good collaborative approach, but also understanding of a vision. We’d like to practice roughly once a week. We’re both seasoned musicians, and looking for someone with good gear and dedication.

In a drummer I like someone with swing, can play fast and aggressive or slow and minimal, double bass and blast beats, can swap time signatures. A jazzy black metal drummer, essentially.

A second guitar or keys would be great to help layer up sounds.

Very interested in saxophone and trumpet.

I’m an ok vocalist, I’ve got a great punk yelling voice, but my normal singing voice isn’t great. Someone for cleans, or can do both would be a great addition.
