Fugue State, an original metal project based out of Long Beach, is seeking a drummer and vocalist/songwriter(male or female) to complete the band. Our sound ranges from thrash to modern metal(think Megadeth, Alice In Chains, Breaking Benjamin, Nevermore, Jinjer, Arch Enemy, Lacuna Coil) that utilizes drop tuned instruments and 7 string guitars.
We are looking for a versatile vocalist/songwriter who can sing clean well as occasional screaming and/or growling. Serious musicians will have their own amplification for gigs where live sound reinforcement is not provided.
Drummers need to have a kit full and loud enough to gig with. We do have some thrash material, so at least a double bass pedal is a must.
We would prefer people close to the Long Beach area to make getting together and rehearsing as easy as possible for everyone. We are looking for down to earth team players who want to serve the music and are able to work well in a group.
