I used to play loud gigs that required a screaming lead trumpet. I REFUSE this kind of work now because I focus towards musicality. I am still a soloist of all styles, but my sound is honest, lacks ego, is soft, lyrical, musical, brassy for salsa, and most importantly: recordable.
