ABOUT

Singer/songwriter - Ian Parsons looking for additional musician(s) to perform live with (possibly write / record as well).

Originally drummer, spent 1990's drumming in Atlanta bands (Indie Rock, etc.) - performed with Indigo Girls a few times. Met Drivin' n' Cryin', REM, Man or Astroman?, Rick Richards of Georgia Sattelites, etc.

Began writing original material during period in Atlanta. Returned to NH in 1999 and began performing/recording as a solo artist under the name The Ian Parsons Reject.

Released two CD's:

1) Live Free O.D. (5-song EP) - features Ian Parsons (vocals/acoustic rhythm guitar/drums/harmonica); Billy Evans (Bang n' Jane) - lead guitar; Bob Pouliot (Bang n' Jane) - bass; Marshall Smith (lead guitar); Maurice Labrie (Keyboards); Stan Banks (drums). "Milton Mills" and "Everyone is Better" played on WHEB 100.3 FM

2) Late on Time (9-song full length) - features Ian Parsons (vocals/acoustic guitar/drums/harmonica); Marshall Smith (bass/lead electric guitar); Kelly Hogan (electric lead); Andy Happell (cello/fiddle), etc. "Just the Same" played on 92.5 FM the River; Milton Mills (revisited) played on WHEB 100.3 FM

Performed live at various events/gigs around Dover/Rochester/Milton Mills/Milton/Acton area. Venues included Cafe on the Corner, Dover, NH; Old Oak Tavern - Rochester, NH; Wild Willy's - Acton, ME, etc.

Performed some as duo w/ bassist Phil Barber (of Big Love Monster - Plymouth, NH band). Recorded Live CD (self released) at Cafe on the Corner in 2002 w/ Matt Lauzon - drums, Phil Barber - bass, and Ryan Barber - percussion/fiddle.

LOOKING FOR acoustic / electric lead guitarist, backup vocals good but not necessary. Ultimately, would like to find drums/bass if possible. Goal to play good balance of original/covers for area gigs and events. Eventually to write/record new material.
