ABOUT

Name's Jess. I'm a singer/songwriter. I'm currently in a band called Sacrifice City. I've been singing all my life. I'm a trained singer. I started off singing operatic music and then decided Rock was the way to go for me. I've sung a bunch of different genres and I have a very wide range. I'm looking for a band where I can feel comfortable being myself and rocking out. Not looking for anything with a bunch of screaming. I can growl and can do a bit of fry screaming but I don't want that to be my main focus. I would love to do a project that has a bit of a Highly Suspect vibe. As of right now I play locally to the Raleigh-Durham area but would not mind doing a little mini tour for about a week. I have kids so they are my first priority and I can't leave them for long. Definitely looking to utilize the internet to gain followers. I'm currently in a band with members who are 20 + years older than I am. They're wonderful musicians but I'm looking for people closer to my age. If you're in the area and just want to see what type of singer I am you're welcome to come to a show. I have a very eclectic taste in music. I listen to literally everything. However, I identify with rock more than anything. A few of my influences are Highly Suspect, Halestorm, Evanescence, Staind, Breaking Benjamin, Chevelle, etc.
