My name is Jacob Dayton, I am a drummer who has been in several bands throughout Utah. I have been playing drums for over 10 years, I have played well over 100 shows, recorded drums for dozens of songs, and written the drums for many many more. I love to be part of the writing process and always try to write drums that fit the song while also sounding technically proficient. I have my own drum recording gear (and will be upgrading it all in a few months), and know how to record drums (but am still learning how to mix/master!). I also have a play space available that I have used to jam and record with many bands already.

Influences
My favorite drummers are Danny Carey of Tool, and Carter Beauford of Dave Matthews band and more than happy to elaborate if you have a couple hours to spare! My favorite bands include Avenged Sevenfold, The Police, Dream Theater, Tool, Born of Osiris, Slipknot, Chon, Rush, and Weezer. It definitely trends more metal, but I love playing and listening to anything with drums. I consider all of these musicians to have big influence on my current playing.
