Band to Join, Vocalist, Lead Guitar, Bass Guitar, Keyboard.

ABOUT

I am a seasoned professionial drummer currently in the market to find some folks who are interested in possibly putting something together, or else a current band needing a drummer. I am currently in a few bands in various stages of development but my main playing band has recently disbanded and am looking for a new gigging band. Ideally, I'd like a vocals/guitar/keyboard (or second guitar)/bass/drums situation and experienced musicians ready to put something together. To be honest, the ideal situation would be to have a female in the band as the keyboardist (or even a rhythm guitarist of bass player) who can sing backup & some lead to widen the range of songs we could play (many cool songs have female vocals). If you have played around the local Little Rock scene that's great, as some connections will already be there. You MUST have your own equipment, preferably some higher-end gear (you are often only as good as your equipment) and a professional attitude, and above all be cool and easy to get along with. I am wanting to play & make some money, so goals toward gigging are a must. I am currently in a successful cover band that is active in the local circuit. I'd be interested in another working cover band or in a situation with original songs if you have something going that can lead to something (studio stuff, a CD in the works, etc.). Or a mixture of both. I am about the easiest, most laid-back guy to work with but I come with a ton of experience and I really am not in the market merely for jams in the garage playing Primus, Slayer, Tool, and Rage Against the Machine tunes (unfortunately, no real market around here for that). I am a serious musician, and a large part of my income comes from playing, so I am looking for some serious players. Some original stuff to maybe mix in is way cool but to be honest, not a huge market in the area for pure original bands.

Also, stuff from the 90s (Theory of a Dead Man, Matchbox 20, Jet, GooGoo Dolls, Greeen Day, Good Charlotte, Gin Blossoms, Lit, Blink-182, Nirvana, Soundgarden, Nickelback, etc.), and new stuff (Halestorm, Muse, Fall Out Boy, some Lady GaGa, Paramore, Panic at the Disco!, Evanescense, Pink, Kings of Leon, Maroon 5, etc.).

I also really like country ("new country") from the mid-90s on (Trisha Yearwood, Lari White, Phil Vassar, Paul Brandt, Mary-Chapin Carpenter, Radney Foster, Kim Richie, Carrie Underwood, Miranda Lambert, Jo Dee Messina, etc.)
