Since Jeff picked up the guitar at age 15 to help him get over a broken heart, he has never put it down. His deepest wound has become his greatest gift. He has been writing songs of lost love, spiritual longing, and questing in his search for the self ever since.
Be it from the dharma or the ravings of madmen, he draws from many wells of inspiration. His muse a sometimes cruel but forgiving mistress has tempered his creative spirit and reaffirmed his quest for the musical Grail.
Listening to his music you can hear the passionate way his voice embraces a song and the soulful elegance of his guitar playing. When he begins to sing his songs seem familiar, and though you've never heard them before you find yourself singing them long after the performance. He touches you; whether with a whispered phrase that chills or a bittersweet chorus that strikes a universal chord that momentarily becomes your anthem.
Jeff's music is a hybrid drawn from numerous musical influences; blues, jazz, folk, rock, new age, classical, etc. It is not uncommon for him to have a song that combines blues, middle eastern scales, and an Indian-style raga.
