Currently alto sax is my main instrument, but I'm in pretty good shape on flute too. I started clarinet right before lockdown but got frustrated and switched to focusing on sax again. I'm planning to get more serious about flute and clarinet in early 2022. I'm thinking about picking up a tenor sax and seeing how that feels compared to the alto, but that's a little ways down the line.
What types of groups I'm looking to play with:
- Big and era jazz with a powerful female vocalist (small or big group)
- 70s funk
- Dixieland jazz (maybe just a stand up bass, banjo, trumpet, and vocalist)
Those are just what I've got in mind, but in the new year, I just want to start playing with other people again. So I'm very open to different genres.
Not interested in playing with any unvaccinated people.
