Playing for over 25 years with lots of live experience. I am a support guy and want to give the music what it needs (and no more). Recently into the country, I'd love to join/form a working band. Is there a country scene in Massachusetts? You tell me.
Influences
Many influences from the music world. I'll listen to anything from Johnny Cash, Brad Paisley, Brooks & Dunn to Dream Theater, Miles Davis or latin jazz to Tower of Power and James Brown. That said, my playing is pretty straight forward with emphasis on time and feel.
Equipment List
Pro gear, top quality. It's not about what brand you have but how the instrument sounds. I play a Tama Starclassic birch 5 piece set that's tuned wide open and sounds very 'live' without any ring or buzz. They sound great in church, a club, a theater or outside under a tent. It's all about the tuning! Some classic Zildjian cymbals complete the sound. I've also got a bag o' toys (shakers, cow bells, blocks and tamborines) to add flavor where needed.
