Many years of experience revolving around drum set, piano, marching percussion, composing, arranging, and amateur recording. Comfortable approaching music from more formal manuscripts or more casual chord progressions and charts. Excited to work with players who enjoy both improv jams for inspiration and speaking to music at a high level.

My girlfriend Cammy is a talented vocalist driven by many of the same passions. We are both Virginia Tech graduates and Marching Virginians Alumni, Cammy leaving her legacy as a successful trumpet section leader and I as Drum Captain. Together we have over 20 years of marching band experience supplemented by gigs with punk-rock bands, jazz bands, and countless living-room-recorded covers.

Influences

My foundation is classic rock, however I am am open to almost any genre. I grew up listening to Rush, Led Zeppelin, and The Who (drummer tendencies of course). Performing with different group leaves my influences pulled in many different directions such as pop-punk, soft-rock, rap, orchestral, funk, and alt-rock. To list a few specific examples: Twenty-One Pilots, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Logic, Blink-182, and Maroon 5. Again, open to most anything.

My main focus is my drum set and piano, but have accumulated an assortment of amps, mixers, speakers, cables, and microphones. My dedicated music room is constantly evolving and earning upgrades.

Other: Scarlett 18i20 recording interface, Aston Origin Vocal Mic, Every cable under the sun (A/V hobby), and many mic stands.
