ABOUT

I played guitar from the ages of 15 to 30.
I'm 43 now, and started playing again about 3 years ago.

I never learned any scales, theory, or anything like that.

Not a well versed lead guitarist.
Much better at rhythm.

But I want to commit to online lessons eventually and get better at leads.

I'm a member at the "Guitar Mastery Method" website.

I'm not anywhere good enough at this point to join a band or improvise & jam in key with other musicians.

I probably would be if I didn't stop playing for 15 years.

It's like I'm starting over as a beginner, but still have the hand dexterity & strength of a pro.

All I could really remember how to play is a few pieces of a few songs, and chords.

Barre chords are still easy for me, F is still effortless.

I am still good at strumming, hammering on, pulling off to do some fun things picking at chords.

I like to lay down rythem progressions on my looper pedal and then spend hours memorizing which notes sound good over the top & play very limited leads.

I was always good at writing my own rhythm riffs.

Just looking to see if there is any other amateurs out there down at my level that might want to just get together for fun.

I haven't progressed much in the past three years either.

I can barely remember any of the many riffs I used to know.

Been chasing tone and spending a fortune on pedals for 3 years, but I am finished now.

I love my board filled with Wampler pedals and a few other fun things.

Just been tinkering around playing the same stuff over and over while I have been perfecting my board.

I can learn rythem well, I just have to find the time to do it.

Last thing you should know about me is under no circumstances whatsoever should you let me near a microphone.

Right now I work Saturday through Tuesday, 8am - 4pm.

Free any other time.

Influences

Pearl Jam is the reason I started playing guitar.

I have the "Alive" stickman tattooed on my shoulder.

Although I overdosed on them so much for the first 20 years, I have barely listened to them for the past 10.

I like all sorts of rock from the 60's through the 00's.

Golden Oldies, Classic Rock, some 80's Hair Metal, early 90's Grunge & Alternative was my biggest passion growing up, and I like some late 90's to 00's Post Alternative.

And I'm looking to expand my horizons more into blues as well.

Because they say every guitarist should learn the blues.

And because I have liked bluesy type rock riffs as well.

EQUIPMENT

PRS SE 245 Electric

A very elaborate pedalboard that I play through a Two Notes Le Clean preamp & Two Notes Torpedo C.A.B. M+ amp modeler with headphones.

I don't have an actual amplifier at the moment, but I want to get a Fender Princeton sooner or later so I can practice without headphones too.
