The Friar Tuck Rock and Blues Society is envisioned to be an association of like minded musicians who can network and gather together to play rock and blues music from the 60s, 70s and 80s – the kind of music we ODU Alumni used to party to at Friar Tucks (thus the name). Since most of us are middle aged with family responsibilities, we should endeavor to build a large network of musicians so that we could always have a decent showing to jam together or to play parties, special events, etc… Even if you are already part of a small regular group who play together, I still encourage you to join. We can all benefit by overlapping many small groups into one overall community of fellow musicians. This group will always be a “by invitation only” group in order to filter out the CraigsList kind of BS.
