My main focus is vocals and lyrics. Due to the difficulty I've had learning to read music, most of my personal musical growth throughout the years has been in vocal performance.
Most of my experience is with clean acoustic ballads and post-hardcore styles (cleans and screams). I've been experimenting with rap and digital audio production as well.
Also decent on rythm guitar.
I'm a chromesthetic synesthete, which means I experience sensations of color and geometric patterns when I hear music (pitch, chords, percussion etc.).
Because I'm wired a little different, it's difficult to read music. Sort of like a dyslexic person reading text. The notes move around and color information gets mixed in. It's weird. My grasp of formal music theory is pretty much just what I've picked up over the past dozen years.
I'm self taught and I play/learn by ear.
I've been playing piano for 12 years, guitar for 10, and singing for as long as I can remember. Also played clarinet 8th grade to graduation; Marching band and all.
I mostly stick to post-hardcore and acoustic stuff but I've started playing around with electronic music production and rap.
