SEEKING
Band to Join.ABOUT
I'm primarily a guitar player but I play other instruments including bass, harmonica, some keys, and some limited drums. I'm above average on bass and harmonica, but limited on keys as it has been many years since I played them regularly and I'm just starting to dust them off again. Interested either in small projects, just working out a few songs and going to some weekly jams or potentially larger projects/gigging bands if the fit is right. I have a rehearsal studio currently.
My last band was an Allman Brothers Tribute which I liked because of it's unique blend of Rock, Blues, Jazz, Country/Bluegrass elements, and because it isn't that easy to do well. It takes group effort. See videos to left for samples and see mouseover comments for notes on what's highlighted in terms of my skillset.
I'm looking to get back on stage playing classic rock, blues rock, southern rock, or possibly some Tom Petty/Wilburys stuff with the right folks, maybe some Eagles if we have enough decent voices to do it well.
My ideal situation would be 1 night a week group practice & gig 2-3 times a month. Ok if practice is on the weekend, or a weeknight. I'm a B-grade vocalist but I can and do sing lead. I'm better as a backing/harmony vocalist paired with a higher voice. I can carry a tune, but I'm a baritone/bass and that makes some lead parts a "stretch".

Influences
Playing influences tend to be in the blues, blues rock, classic rock and southern rock genres. Allman Brothers, Molly Hatchet, SRV, Eric Clapton, ZZ Top, Van Halen, Led Zeppelin, Tom Petty, BB King, Muddy Waters, many more. Those are some favorites.
Listening influences are much broader and include some country, classical, fusion jazz, bluegrass, progressive rock and more. I don't care much for modern country, but I like the country and bluegrass influences in southern rock.
