Three individuals, each with a unique style and voice have united to form KIDS. Known for their devote work ethic and hysterical humility, KIDS bring an unparalleled energy to every performance and their unpredictable persona's keep listeners captivated and curious. This is a new school movement rooted in the principles of hiphop's golden age.
In the summer of 2010, Kelvin, Jay Mizz and Jakub Evolved, all solo hiphop artists, joined forces to take on central Canada in what became known as 'A Gentlemen's Guide to Hitchhikers Hell Tour'. The chemistry and dynamic developed on and off stage that summer became the foundation upon which the group launched itself from. Returning from tour the trio continued performing together locally in Vancouver and the lower mainland, but it wasnt until early 2011 that the monarch 'KIDS' was coined, in an amalgamation of the collectives philosophic dispositions and inherent rhetoric.
Much has happened since the summer of 2010, including a merger with 33OneThird (a Ladner based hiphop group) resulting in the supergroup 33KIDS. KIDS have since released their first joint project; Summer School, and the viral release of the groups first video, the lead single from Summer School entitled 'Divine Feminine' which just happens to be the first song the trio recorded coll. KIDS as well as 33KIDS have had the pleasure of opening for a wide variety of notorious acts that have come thru the Greater Vancouver region, such as Zion I, Obie Trice, Onyx, Royce da 5'9, Masta Ace and many others.
