We are LA BAMBA! An activist street band in the HONK! tradition, we are bringing the noise and spectacle to Los Angeles protests, marches, rallies, and demonstrations. If you can play a LOUD and PORTABLE instrument - even just a tambourine - and you care about progressive causes, join us!
We started in September 2019 with a 7-song repertoire of traditional and funky takes on protest songs with varied musical roots. We started gigging in January 2020 and have been proud to partner with Extinction Rebellion Los Angeles and XRLA Youth for our first two gigs. But we won't stop there!

We explicitly encourage women/femmes and POC to join us, as well as radicals and people on the margins! And anyone who is just getting back into music after a break, those who are interested in practicing a second or third (or fourth...) instrument, parents and families, and allies of the communities listed above. We operate as an egalitarian and democratic collective.
