I’m looking for a bass player and a singer to play with me and a lifelong friend and drummer. I would prefer a bass player that is a bass player and that’s what they love to do, not a guitar player that plays bass too. We get together on Friday nights and jam. We’re doing covers and are writing originals. We are NOT playing the covers to sound exactly like the original artist, or that note for note thing, but more like us. I’m 58 and have been playing guitar since I was 8… mostly metal , rock and blues but can play just about anything. The drummer has played everything from jazz to metal. The originals span a wide range of feels from Queensryche to Hendrix to Les Claypool to Aerosmith. We’re in no hurry to get out and gig, but it is in the future. We’d much rather take the time to put some together that’s different and polishing it off before take it out. No slapping together 50 songs so we can play out next month, if that’s your thing, that’s great, it’s just not for us. I have a place that we practice and record. We have a good time at practice, have a beer and or a shot and jam, so if that offends you, this will not be for you. We're by no means drunks or alcoholics , but some people are just to up thight ..We are both very professional musicians and do want to put together a serious band, but most of all it has to be fun, or what’s the point.
