The newly formed Berks Drum Collective will hold their first drum clinic on February 7th at 1 p.m. at the Gallery Above Penn Square, 128 North 5th Street, Reading, PA 19601.

The event will feature a Q & A and clinic with local drummer, Joe Koons. Joe has been drumming since age 11 and studied under James Paxson at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia. He can be found playing with the very successful local band, called Vuja De, as well as the house drummer at various open mic gigs.

Following the clinic, attendees are invited to the Abe Lincoln Hotel to play in a free open mic event along with Joe, piano virtuoso Gerry Werner, and Terrance "T." Lee on guitar.

Berks Drum Collective is a group of drummers and people interested in drumming to share tips and techniques for the purpose of education and further the understanding of our instrument. The group will hold periodic clinics so that local working drummers can share and educate other drummers, musicians, and students in the art of drumming.
