ABOUT

Hi there. As stated above i like to sing... I got know if I'm any good at it but I've been told before by others I'm ok and although I sound like a jerk I used it as a tool to pick up on girls in high school. I've never sung before in a choir of formal setting. I've never even been part of a band before. I love entertaining, fast paced environment, music, and challenges. There have been two things in my life something inside has told me to go for but I never worked up the courage to do so: acting/singing, and being a teacher/minister. I figure before I throw in the towel and trade my boots and jeans for Charlie Brown's hand me downs I'd post this here and see what happens. God's got a plan for everybody and if this is it He'll make it happen.

Influences

I love country music. My grandfather raised horses throughout our childhood and he loves country music and I remember wanting to spend as much time with the man that I could. I grew up without a father and any other positive male influence in my life so as I grew and got to know the man, his style, and how people reacted to and around him kinda gave me an idea of who it what I wanted to be. Granted I've been told by nationality that we're Spanish, Portuguese and Apache, I don't really look the PBR, cut sleeve flannel cowboy boots wearing type but I got right in. We grew up listening to all kinds of different music. I feel my strengths lie within country, oldies, classic rock and r&b. I'm fairly confident that with some vocal training and guidance I can actually be as good as I think I can be. Touche huh? I also am a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps having served 8 years active duty and three tours overseas. I only share that because although I don't know where this road may take me, I know it's going to be long, confusing, mind soul and spiritually draining at times. I am fully confident in my communication skills, leadership abilities and goofy sense of humor that I'd be a great asset to have around even if it is to cheer somebody up or talk them through tough times. Even just to listen. After all, it's only when we shut our mouths that we truly HEAR the music ain't it?

EQUIPMENT

I'm broke most the time, been homeless a year now, and have my Chevrolegs and strong heart to keep me going. That and a nice service connected disability check I receive each month from the VA. I also have Post 9/11 GI BILL benefits remaining for college or vocational training to assist in my development.
