Mariana (Mah-DEE-ah-nah) Rose's musical style is hard to describe by typical standards. A mix of punk rock, folk, a little hip hop, and a lot of soul.
Being immersed in music from different ages, and places in the world from a young age they long to incorporate as many different styles as they can into their music, though they are better at improvising than planning, so things just kind of happen.
Music was always an escape for them, diving headfirst into it at a young age. They started singing at the age of 3, joining the church choir led by their mother at 5 years old. At the age of 9 they picked up violin and pursued it for a while. But by 16 they had learned to play piano, guitar, ukulele, and bass leading them down a less classical route.
They have been writing and composing their own music (lyrics and all) from the age of 13, writing songs that have been lost to old phones and time. They always found solace in other's works, and they hope to be able to bring that same comfort to others through their music. Even if it's a little sad.
