August is an 13-man R&B, rock and soul band with a 7-piece horn section. Our first "run" was between 1972 and 1976, and since reforming in 2006, we have become friends with San Francisco's 'Cold Blood", former Chicago keyboard/guitarist, Bill Champlin, and former Tower of Power keyboardist and musical director for Joe Cocker for 11+ years, Nick Milo. Our first CD, "Second Time Around", was recorded at Jim Peterik's World Stage Studios, and Jim Peterik co-sings and plays guitar on one song that was originally written for the band, "Chase". Our recording of the song , "In the Heat of the Night", was released in 2015 and features former Chicago vocalist/keyboard/guitarist, Bill Champlin.
