Short story - im a childhood cancer survivor. Some people wrote a song when i sick for me. Healing properties of music sent me on a journey i continue to be on. Im hoping to follow that and hope you come with me. SO - Hey everyone my name is Michael Matthews and i am most definitely seeking committed individuals with substantial songwriting experience. Contributions to songs and songwriting are a MUST. Also, must write music in their own time to bring to practice sessions. Must have your own gear and transportation! No flakiness please. I am not looking for people with crazy chops! But must have experience playing in bands and working with a band dynamic. Must be able to play well enough to follow rhythm. Anyways - please please take a listen to a couple songs on my (linked). These are not finished yet, and i plan to release them finished in a couple months or so. I am looking for people to learn them, and practice them. So when it is released, we can start playing shows having practiced them. I am not a band dictator! If you decide to team up, we will ALL have a say. Im not married to the idea of using my name either. So anyways - if that sounds good, HMU!
