I love recording, but at 74 years, I'm not looking for another band to start over with. It's just too complicated to get a group of people together and agree on stuff. It always was; but I still love to play, so I do it for fun. In addition to that, the style of music that I play probably isn't that popular anymore except with maybe some people my own age or close. I still like this style of music so it's what I play. I'm okay just doing what I do, although I might be interested in collaborating with other artists on some projects. But for the most part I just make recordings and put them on here. I do all the singing. If you hear some instrumental passage you like; be aware that I'm not a good musician and I will use every cheap digital trick in the book to get the sounds I do, including using two guitar tracks to make what was one track on the original recording. I pick the lowest hanging fruit for the most part, but I don't sample anything. When you hear these songs, it's either me playing an instrument or composing notes with MIDI technology and the sound being played through the recording program. I do play all the guitar, bass, harmonica and some keyboard parts. I compose parts for all other instruments I don't play (i.e. sax, violins, flutes, accordion, etc...) using MIDI (Musical Instrument Digital Interface). Hey, it's music, right?

Influences

50s, 60s, 70s: Willy DeVille (you can tell that by all the covers of his songs I've recorded. He was one of my all-time absolute favorites), BB, Robert Cray, Motown; some of them one-hit wonders, but I also like Elvis Costello, Otis Redding, and many others. I try to learn different styles as much as I can, as it's fun and interesting, although I have to say my tastes mainly revolve around R&B.
