I have been in the performing arts for a lifetime, music,theatre and dance. I made my bid for getting into the recording industry many years ago in the Electronica genre ala Erasure and Depeche Mode. I even got reviewed by Billboard but alas didn't land a record deal. Ennnnyhooo fast forward my songwriting had lain dormant for a couple of decades but about three years ago I woke up dreaming a song and then actually was inspired to finish it and ever since then the dam burst and I have written a slew of them. Mostly ballads in the Great American Songbook/Cabaret genre. I am not a musician, I am a singer but I get a melody in my head and then write the lyrics. I would love to be able to see them taken to the next level and have them arranged for piano where I could collaborate and give my input for creating a finished piece. Well there you have my flight of fancy (he said wistfully) Whew can you say looong winded? Merci of you made it this far. Cheers!
