ABOUT

Hey, my name's Preston! I love music more than anything. I’m originally from Rhode Island but I’ve lived and performed in Los Angeles and Seattle and currently reside in Portland, OR. I started performing as a teenager in a classic/modern rock cover band with my parents, I also co-fronted a hard/progressive rock band called Decorus Mens in my 20s playing in and around RI.

From 2012 to 2013 I was the lead vocalist in the pop/punk band Velvet Goldmine playing in LA and Orange County, California. We had a great time playing all over LA and Orange, California. Velvet Goldmine released one album called "No Regrets.”

In Seattle I fronted an alt/rock/grunge band called Subject to Fits from 2016 to 2020 when I was moved to Portland for work and then a pandemic made things complicated for everyone.

Most recently I provided lyrics and vocals for the album “Modern Vintage” by Frank Farrow in Seattle.

As a performer I’m comfortable in most genres. I’m classically trained and I’ve done quite a bit of work in musical theater. I’m available for writing and recording vocals in studio, as well.

In addition to performing I also love booking shows and working on the business side of music. I was generally the main person booking for all bands I've been in and I love booking for other bands as well.

EQUIPMENT

Due to moving so many times I don't have as much as I would like. I have the ability to do some passable recording at home. I have an SM58 that I love dearly. I also have an electric bass, an electric guitar, a saxophone, an accordion, an Arturia MicroBrute for getting silly, and a set of bongos. I don't have any gear to go with those electric instruments... yet.
